Community LD (Learning Disability) Team East Dunbartonshire

The Learning Disability Team in East Dunbartonshire is a joint service between health and social work services offering specialist support to adults with a learning disability.

The health team comprises:

Community Learning Disability Nursing
Learning Disability Psychiatry
Psychology
Physiotherapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech & Language Therapy
Dietetics
Health Care Support Worker

The team provides health and social care services to adults aged 18 years and over with a diagnosis of a Learning Disability in the East Dunbartonshire area, in line with the eligibility criteria.

A multidisciplinary approach is undertaken offering comprehensive care management and health services to individuals. The health component of the team provides specialist assessment and treatment in the community to people with a Learning Disability covering a range of needs including physical and mental health.
